I cannot stress enough the importance of prioritizing employee health and safety training. According to Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), it is the shared responsibility of employers, employees, and contractors to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. This includes ensuring that all workers receive proper training and access to up-to-date safety information. By working together and staying informed, we can significantly reduce — or even eliminate — incidents in the workplace.
Ongoing education and clear communication are not only best practices but also legal requirements under Ontario health and safety standards.
